Shahied Allie, SEDFA Business Advisor, conducted a Business Model Canvas Assessment Tool on the business. The exercise comprised of an interview with Ms. Hoosen, visual assessments through touring of the business operations and research through external sources. The assessment enabled SEDFA to identify relevant areas for further development. The business requires training, development, marketing, and funding assistance.
Outcome Details: The following results were achieved:
• The Turnover increased from R 27 100 to R 35 900, an increase of 24,51%;
• Net profit increased from R 125 to R 5 925, an increase of 4 640%, and
• The business has created two new employment opportunities. Increasing the staff complement from one to three people.
