Following the assessment, SEDFA facilitated access to finance through the Asset Assist Programme, enabling the client to acquire the required construction equipment.
Outcome Details:
The equipment acquired through the Asset Assist Programme enabled the business to reduce outsourcing costs and improve operational efficiency. This support contributed to the successful completion of work at Exxaro Belfast Coal Mine and positioned the company to secure a three-year contract with the mine.
- Turnover increased significantly from R250,000 at the initial assessment to R2,131,921 at the improvement assessment conducted in February 2026, reflecting a growth of R1,881,921. This increase was largely driven by the three-year contract with Exxaro Belfast Coal Mine.
- Profitability, the increase in turnover resulted in a net profit of R184,502.
- Employment Creation, employment grew from 4 employees to 23 employees, primarily due to the additional capacity required to service the Exxaro Belfast Coal Mine contract.
- Turnover increased significantly from R250,000 at the initial assessment to R2,131,921 at the improvement assessment conducted in February 2026, reflecting a growth of R1,881,921. This increase was largely driven by the three-year contract with Exxaro Belfast Coal Mine.
